Korean Word Combination: (들다 + VERB)

Korean word combination refers to the practice of combining two or more words or language elements to form a more complex or specific meaning.
Word combinations in Korean often include the use of particles, endings, or conjunctions to connect two words. This is an important part of Korean grammar and allows speakers to express more detailed and nuanced ideas.

In the previous lessons, there are several words that have different meanings when combined with other words and become new words. This time two words combined are verbs.

Now we'll learn about the combination "들다 + 오다". In Korean it shows the action of taking or carrying something towards the speaker or the speaker's place. For example, "책을 가방에 들고 왔어요" means "I brought the book to the bag."
1. 들다 + ___
    들다 (return) + 가다 (leave)
    > 들어가다 = leave again
    들다 (return) + 오다 (coming)
    > 들어 오다 = come back

Examples :
    엄머니는 방에 들어와요
    [My mother entered the room]

    리사는 화장실에 들어가
    [Lisa entered the bathroom]

Meanwhile, the combination "들다 + 가다" describes the movement of carrying or taking something from the speaker or the speaker's place towards another direction. For example, "물을 주전자에 들고 갔어요" means "I brought water into the teapot (and left)."

2. 가지다 + ___
    가지다 (have) + 오다 (coming)
    >가져 오다 = bring something
    가지다 (have) + 가다 (leave)
    >가지 가다 = take somethingExamples :

    > 나는 케이크 한 상자 가져 왔어
       I bought a box cake.
    > 나는 새 신발을 가져 간다.
       I take new shoes

In both of these combinations, "들다" indicates the action of taking or carrying, while "오다" (coming) or "가다" (going) indicates the direction of movement relative to the speaker or the speaker's place.
