Korean Language - Badminton

Badminton is quite popular in South Korea although not as popular as baseball and soccer. The development of badminton as a sport of interest began in the mid-20th century.



Badminton is a racket sport played by two people or two pairs, who attempt to hit badminton at their opponent across a net set up in the center of the court. 

South Korea became the center of attention in the badminton world in the 1990s, and since then, the country has produced several famous badminton players who achieved great achievements at the national and international levels. 

Some of the famous badminton players from South Korea are:
